Why do we need to list all of the additional insured entities on the certificate of insurance and endorsements?

Listing the additional insureds on the certificate of insurance is one way to verify that these entities have been named as additional insureds on your policy.  Even though your policy may contain a blanket additional insured endorsement, some program sponsors and/or general contractors still require the full list to be shown on the certificate.  Often, blanket additional insured endorsements contain limitations such as only extending coverage to those entities with whom you have a written contract.
